About the role Take and record vital signs, blood glucose and weights; promptly elevate concerns. Assist clinicians with procedures, specimen collection, chaperoning, and patient transport. Maintain a clean, safe environment: restocking, equipment cleaning, bed making/turnover, and infection prevention. Use electronic health records accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times. Contribute to a positive team culture, communicating clearly with patients, whānau/families, and colleagues. You’ll bring NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2–4) or equivalent healthcare support qualification, or relevant experience (desirable). Recent experience as a clinical support worker in hospital, aged care, or community settings (desirable). Confidence with core clinical tasks: observations, patient handling and wound care. Strong communication, cultural competence, and a respectful, person-centred approach. Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work in a rostered environment. Basic digital literacy; comfortable with electronic documentation and devices. Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
