Production Supervisor

Role Overview As a Production Supervisor at one of our Canterbury-based sites, you will lead a team of Process Technicians to bring our products to life in our new facilities. This will include manual operation of equipment and troubleshooting issues with the help of the wider Leaft team including engineers and food scientists. This role requires leading by example and operating comfortably on a rotating roster across both day and night shifts. Key Responsibilities Lead your shift by example and work effectively within the wider engineering and operations teams. Operate and maintain complex process equipment. Contribute to ongoing improvement of the production process, and support the design of our next commercial-scale plant. Utilise knowledge of HACCP and GMP principles to produce food to the highest standard. Use your proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to solve issues with your team. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and achievement. Skills and Qualifications Prior experience in food manufacturing or other related fields. Previous leadership roles or demonstrated aptitude and appetite for leadership. Experience or qualifications in process engineering, or a background in mechanical / electrical / fabrication, welcome. Familiarity with food safety principles – GMP, HACCP. Comfortable with troubleshooting of equipment and process issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. This is a fixed-term role through to the end of our production season (June 2027); however, a permanent role is highly likely for the appropriate candidate.
