About the Role Due to an internal promotion within the branch, we are hiring a new team member to join our stunning Christchurch showroom on Annex Road as a part-time Showroom Sales Consultant. Hours are: Wednesday - Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm (we are open to candidates who would prefer to work Thursday - Saturday) Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm. In this role, you will be responsible for: Welcome customers and create a positive showroom experience, understanding their needs through active listening Provide expert product knowledge and design advice to help customers achieve their ideal bathroom Guide customers through the sales process - from product demonstration and quoting through to purchase and follow-up Process sales transactions accurately using company systems, meeting individual and team targets Maintain a well-presented showroom, including stock displays and cleanliness standards Handle administration (quotes, sales paperwork, credits/returns) in a timely, accurate manner Build strong customer relationships that drive repeat business and referrals Stay current on products, industry trends, and company policies through ongoing training This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career in retail sales to the next level, or has a passion for interior design and wants to get industry experience. About you Previous experience working in retail or a similar sales role Knowledge of this industry or experience selling in a similar market would be ideal but is not essential A passion for providing solutions and excellent customer service to all customers An understanding that you need to listen to the customer and work through a consultative process, with the knowledge and confidence to close the sale A strong passion for sales and hitting targets An energetic, positive attitude and, above all, a team-player mindset Confidence working with different computing programs (training will be provided on in-house systems) What We provide: Southern Cross Regular Care plan EAP program for our team members, their partner, and dependent children Years of industry knowledgeand long term opportunities for growth within the business Does this sound like you?
