Registered Nurse - In Patient Unit 0.8 FTE Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse who wants to make a real difference at one of life’s most important times? Hospice Waikato is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN to join our In-Patient Unit team. This is an opportunity to provide truly holistic, specialist palliative care — supporting patients and their whānau with dignity, respect and empathy. About the Role As part of our interprofessional team, you will: Deliver high-quality specialist palliative nursing care Provide comprehensive assessment and symptom management Support patients and whānau emotionally, spiritually and physically Coordinate care and advocate for patient goals and choices Work collaboratively across services to ensure seamless care Uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice You will be joining a team committed to excellence in care, cultural safety, and continuous professional development. About You You will bring: Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC Post-registration experience in palliative care, oncology, chronic conditions, or a related field Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Confidence in symptom management and medicine management A compassionate, calm and resilient approach A passion for holistic, person-centred care Experience in palliative care or oncology and/or postgraduate study in palliative care is highly regarded.
