About the Role Our Physiotherapy service delivers comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community-based rehabilitation across the MidCentral region, including Palmerston North, Horowhenua and Tararua. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for people with a wide range of conditions, with a particular focus on acute neurological rehabilitation. In this role, you will: Deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Develop individualised rehabilitation programmes that maximise independence and participation in everyday life. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients and whānau to achieve the best possible outcomes. Prescribe and manage rehabilitation equipment, including Enable New Zealand-funded equipment. Supervise and support physiotherapy assistants and students through effective delegation and mentoring. Provide education and clinical guidance to colleagues and members of the wider healthcare team. Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development. About you You'll be an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping people achieve their rehabilitation goals. You'll bring: Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. A minimum of three years' post-registration clinical experience. Experience assessing and treating patients requiring neurological, acute and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Excellent clinical reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience supervising or delegating to physiotherapy assistants and students. A commitment to culturally safe practice and improving equitable health outcomes for Māori in line with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A current full New Zealand driver's licence. Experience with Enable New Zealand, ACC systems and equipment prescription, along with a special interest in neurological physiotherapy, would be advantageous.
