Job Description
The Department of Conservation NZ in Auckland invites applications for the Ranger Biodiversity (Tara Iti) fixed-term role, based in Auckland, Warkworth or Whangārei from September 2026 to February 2027. You will work on protecting the tara iti breeding sites and assisting captive-rearing programs. This full-time 40-hour week position involves field monitoring, predator control, nest and bird observations, data recording, and public engagement.
