Summer Intern - Distribution Design (Nov 2026)

We’re on the lookout for a variety of students who are keen to roll up their sleeves and get some hands‑on experience in the electricity sector this summer. These positions will be based in New Plymouth or Tauranga. We're particularly interested to hear from students with links to these locations. You’ll support Powerco's Distribution Design team across a range of engineering, digital transformation, and network design activities. It’s a great chance to learn how design decisions support the wider electricity system and see how your studies apply in the real world. About you Studying Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, GIS or Digital Engineering Computer Science / Data Analytics Have strong attention to detail and enjoy making sense of technical data Comfortable working with systems and software Bring a bit of initiative and are open to learning from a supportive team What's in it for you?
