Maintenance Electrician

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment producing some of New Zealand’s most recognised food brands. This role is responsible for maintaining plant equipment, improving machinery reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery and equipment Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime Improve machinery reliability and operational efficiency Support continuous improvement projects and plant upgrades Assist with new installations and contractor management Complete scheduled maintenance and inspectionsPerform general engineering and repair work as required Ensure compliance with HSE, QA, and Food Safety requirements Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Requirements Electrical qualification with current EWRB registration Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance environments Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills PLC experience preferred (Siemens / Allen-Bradley) Knowledge of machinery safety and guarding Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Basic computer skills including Word and Excel Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to commit to a day shift roster — Sunday to Thursday Must be available for on-call night breakdowns when required Able to pass a drug test and have a clean criminal history What’s on Offer Up to $43 per hour depending on experience and skills Supportive and collaborative team culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
