This full-time Finance Controller role is based at Head Office in Auckland with New Image Group. This position provides a senior finance leadership layer between the CFO and day-to-day operational finance activities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a finance team and be responsible for financial control, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, compliance, cash flow management, and team leadership across two of the Group's operating businesses. This position provides a senior finance leadership layer between the CFO and day-to-day operational finance activities. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a finance team and be responsible for financial control, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, compliance, cash flow management, and team leadership across two of the Group's operating businesses. What you'll be doing | Ngā kawenga matua Lead financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the business. Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining strong financial controls and risk management. Lead and develop the finance team, driving continuous improvement across systems and processes. Partner with operational and commercial leaders to strengthen financial performance and support better business decisions. Oversee inventory valuation, manufacturing cost control, and margin improvement initiatives. Drive business performance through analysis of key financial and operational KPIs, including cost-of-production, milk price and ingredient cost modelling, and manufacturing performance (waste, yield, and production variances). Lead pricing governance and profitability analysis across products, customers, and channels. Support capital expenditure evaluation, business case development, and working capital management. What makes this role different Broad scope spanning financial control, manufacturing finance, and commercial business partnering A rare opportunity to shape financial governance and drive meaningful business improvement across a growing organisation What we're looking for | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana CA qualified, with 8+ years' experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, food, dairy, or consumer goods sectors Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, with a strong understanding of standard costing, inventory valuation, bills of materials (BOMs), production variances, cost accounting, and supply chain finance Strong ERP system experience and advanced financial modelling capability Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Executive Leadership teams, and to constructively challenge and influence decision‑making through data‑driven insights Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams, manage competing priorities, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex financial information to non‑financial audiences A proven track record of driving operational and commercial performance improvements Highly regarded Experience leading business improvement or change initiatives, whether through process redesign, systems upgrades, or organisational change A background in management accounting, with exposure to cost modelling, margin analysis, and operational reporting Experience supporting finance across multiple business units or entities, balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs Corporate or multinational experience What we offer | Ngā painga ka tukuna We are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
