Job title: SAP S/4HANA ABAP & SAP BTP ABAP Developers Location: Auckland, New Zealand (Candidates located anywhere in New Zealand are encouraged to apply. Employment Type: Contract We are hiring experienced SAP ABAP professionals for two exciting contract opportunities supporting a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. Role 1: SAP ABAP on HANA Developer About the Role We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Developer with strong expertise in modern SAP development and SAP S/4HANA. You will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade SAP solutions while following SAP Clean Core principles and development best practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and support SAP solutions using ABAP on HANA and SAP S/4HANA . Develop applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) . Build CDS Views, CDS View Entities, AMDP, CDS Table Functions, and SQLScript solutions. Develop and consume OData Services for SAP Fiori and integrations. Develop solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP , BAdIs, and SAP extensibility frameworks. Design and maintain BRF+ rules, validations, and decision tables. Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimise performance. Prepare technical specifications and collaborate with functional consultants and solution architects. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience. Minimum 2 years of SAP S/4HANA development experience. Strong expertise in ABAP on HANA , RAP , CDS Views , AMDP , SQLScript , and OData Services . Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP , BAdIs , and SAP extensibility. Good understanding of SAP Clean Core principles. Nice to Have SAP ABAP on HANA or ABAP Cloud certification. Experience with Adobe Forms or SAP Forms Service by Adobe. Knowledge of Flexible Workflow, APIs, and event-driven integration. Role 2: SAP BTP ABAP Developer About the Role We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in cloud-based ABAP development, SAP BTP, and SAP S/4HANA extensibility. You will deliver modern, scalable SAP applications using RAP and Clean Core development practices. Key Responsibilities Develop applications using SAP BTP ABAP and SAP S/4HANA . Build applications using RAP across SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA. Develop and enhance CDS Views and modern ABAP solutions. Build low-code/no-code extensibility solutions. Configure Communication Arrangements , REST APIs , and Event Mesh . Enhance Flexible Workflow solutions. Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise SAP solutions. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience. Minimum 2–3 years of SAP S/4HANA experience. Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP ABAP development. Strong experience with RAP in both SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP. Strong hands‑on experience with CDS Views .
