THE ROLE: Our client is seeking a Senior Clinical Specialist - Robotics to support the successful implementation, adoption and ongoing growth of an advanced robotic surgery platform within a key New Zealand hospital account. Working closely with surgeons, theatre teams and hospital stakeholders, you will provide clinical education, onboarding, case support and technical expertise to help embed robotic-assisted surgery into everyday clinical practice. You will act as the dedicated clinical specialist for a key hospital account, supporting surgeons throughout their robotic surgery journey while driving engagement and platform adoption. This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong clinical credibility, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Based in Auckland, New Plymouth or another suitable New Zealand location, you will travel regularly to New Plymouth to support clinical activity, training and account development, while collaborating with the wider NZ robotics team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with surgeons, hospital stakeholders and internal teams to support robotic surgery adoption, coordinate proctored cases and expand clinical engagement opportunities. Support system installations alongside internal stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring operating theatres are prepared for robotic-assisted surgical procedures. Provide in-theatre clinical and technical support, troubleshoot procedural issues, and assist surgeons and operating theatre teams during robotic-assisted surgical cases. Deliver product education, clinical coaching, structured onboarding and ongoing clinical support to surgeons and hospital staff. Support future installations by assisting with prospect account development, inventory planning and collaboration with internal commercial teams. Monitor utilisation trends, clinical activity and account performance while providing regular updates to internal and hospital stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, operating theatre teams and key hospital stakeholders across New Zealand. ABOUT YOU: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline Experience within a clinical environment, medical device capital equipment or pharmaceutical sales with a strong clinical focus Surgical background or operating theatre experience is highly regarded Demonstrated clinical acumen and a solution-focused mindset Experience supporting the adoption of new technologies or managing organisational change is advantageous Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills Confident presenting, educating and coaching clinical teams Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to expand platform usage and account growth Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic clinical environment, with the ability to adapt quickly, solve problems and manage competing priorities.
