We're looking for a commercially minded, relationship-focused Milk Supply Manager to support and grow our milk supply network across the Mataura region, working closely with both Mataura Valley Milk (MVM) and Open Country Dairy supplier farms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the dairy industry who enjoys building trusted partnerships, supporting farmers to succeed, and helping shape the future of milk supply in one of New Zealand's key dairy regions. About The Role As Milk Supply Manager, you'll be responsible for sourcing and retaining milk supply, maintaining strong relationships with current suppliers, and identifying opportunities to grow our supplier network. You'll be the key link between our farmers and the business, providing commercial insight, practical support, and clear communication. Working closely with farmers, industry professionals, and internal teams, you'll help ensure accurate milk forecasting, high milk quality standards, and support sustainability initiatives across the region. What You'll Be Doing Building and maintaining strong relationships with supplier farmers Identifying and securing new milk supply opportunities Supporting supplier retention and engagement initiatives Providing accurate milk supply forecasts and market insights Assisting farmers with milk quality and compliance matters Supporting sustainability and environmental programmes Representing Open Country Dairy and Mataura Valley Milk within the local dairy community Monitoring regional industry trends and competitor activity What We're Looking For You may come from a milk supply, agribusiness, rural banking, dairy farming, or agricultural services background. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working alongside farmers and building long-term partnerships. You’ll bring: Strong knowledge of dairy farming systems Excellent relationship-building and communication skills Commercial and financial understanding Experience working directly with farmers or rural clients The ability to work independently and manage your own region Strong organisation and forecasting capabilityGood computer skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Resilience, initiative, and a results-focused mindset Why Join Us?
