About the Role This is more than just a job its an opportunity to provide high-quality care to adults and children in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will work closely with Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, experienced Registered Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Clerical Staff, and the wider medical team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. You will be supported by a comprehensive orientation and ongoing training opportunities, enabling you to grow and develop your emergency nursing skills. Working on a casual basis, you will step in to support the team as and when needed, making a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes. About the Team/Service/Location Our Whakatāne Emergency Department is at the heart of the emergency care for the Eastern Bay of Plenty community. The service operates around the clock, providing a dynamic and supportive environment where teamwork is essential. Based in Whakatāne, you will enjoy the balance of meaningful work and a lifestyle enriched by sunshine, golden beaches, and a welcoming community spirit. About You An adaptable, quick-thinking, and team-oriented nurse with a passion for emergency care will thrive in this role. Previous acute care experience is beneficial, but those eager to learn and grow in a high-paced setting are also encouraged to apply.
