Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager Mixport Logistics and Transport Ltd - Auckland airport, North Island The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager is responsible for leading and managing organisational change arising from the implementation of modern supply chain strategies, systems, technologies and operating models. The role ensures that business transformation initiatives are successfully adopted across the organisation by developing change management strategies, utilizing new technology and AI, engaging stakeholders, redesigning business processes, managing organisational readiness, and embedding sustainable improvements. Working closely with executive management, operational leaders, project managers, technology specialists, suppliers and external consultants, the Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager ensures that supply chain transformation projects deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, customer service, compliance and commercial performance while minimising disruption to business operations. Reporting Relationship The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager reports directly to the General Manager, Chief Operations Officer, or another nominated executive. Key Responsibilities The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager is responsible for planning, leading and delivering organisational change associated with supply chain transformation initiatives. This includes analysing existing supply chain operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing comprehensive change management strategies, and overseeing the implementation of new operating models, business processes and technologies. The position works collaboratively with business leaders to establish change objectives, define implementation roadmaps, prioritise transformation initiatives and ensure projects align with organisational strategy and long-term business goals. The role leads stakeholder engagement activities by identifying affected business units, communicating project objectives, managing expectations, addressing concerns and promoting organisational commitment to change. The incumbent develops communication plans that provide timely, accurate and consistent information throughout all phases of the transformation programme. The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager assesses organisational readiness for change by conducting impact assessments, analysing business processes and identifying operational risks that may affect successful implementation. Appropriate mitigation strategies are developed to minimise disruption to business operations. The role coordinates the redesign and optimisation of supply chain processes including procurement, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, transportation, demand planning, supplier collaboration, distribution and customer fulfilment to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. The position supports the implementation of enterprise systems and digital technologies including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), inventory management solutions, procurement platforms and supply chain analytics tools by ensuring that business users are prepared to adopt new processes and technologies. The role develops training strategies, learning materials and coaching programmes to equip employees with the knowledge and skills required to operate effectively within new business processes and systems. Ongoing support is provided to encourage successful adoption and continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager establishes governance frameworks to monitor project progress, measure adoption rates, evaluate business outcomes and report transformation performance against agreed objectives, milestones and key performance indicators. The role identifies operational, commercial and organisational risks associated with transformation initiatives and develops practical solutions that support business continuity while achieving project objectives. The incumbent works closely with project managers to coordinate implementation schedules, resource planning, change activities and post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery of multiple concurrent transformation initiatives. The position facilitates workshops, process mapping sessions and stakeholder consultations to identify business requirements, resolve implementation issues and promote collaboration across departments. The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager evaluates supply chain performance through data analysis, operational metrics and business intelligence reporting to identify further opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement. The role collaborates with procurement teams, logistics providers, suppliers, technology vendors and external consultants to support integration, process alignment and achievement of organisational objectives. The incumbent ensures that transformation activities comply with organisational policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and industry best practice. The Supply Chain Modernisation Change Manager contributes to strategic planning by identifying emerging supply chain trends, digital technologies and operational innovations that may improve organisational capability and competitive advantage. The role performs other duties consistent with the position as reasonably directed by management. Key Relationships Internal relationships include executive management, operations, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, finance, information technology, sales, customer service, project management teams and human resources. External relationships include suppliers, logistics providers, technology vendors, implementation partners, consultants, customers and regulatory agencies where required. Qualifications and Experience Ideally, candidates will possess: A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Commerce or a related discipline. Significant senior-level experience in supply chain transformation, organisational change management, business improvement or programme delivery. Demonstrated experience implementing large-scale supply chain modernisation initiatives. Experience with ERP implementation, digital transformation or operational excellence programmes is highly desirable. Professional certification in Change Management (such as Prosci), Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), Lean, Six Sigma or similar qualifications is advantageous.
