We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven National Account Manager to lead strategic client partnerships and drive growth. This is a full time role based from either Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch. The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused and commercially sound professional to play a pivotal role in expanding Proactive’s national footprint. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing key national accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities across range of services. You will work closely with clinical, operational, portfolio, and commercial leaders to design innovative service solutions, strengthen strategic partnerships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth. What You’ll Be Doing Strategic Account Management Develop and maintain strategic account plans for priority national clients. Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Conduct regular client reviews and proactively manage client satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities to expand service utilisation across Proactive’s service lines Business Development & Growth Lead delivery of Proactive's business development strategy and growth objectives. Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. Lead tenders, proposals, commercial negotiations, and service agreements. Service Development & Solution Design Develop market-ready service offerings and wellbeing solutions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure services are practical, compliant, financially sustainable, and aligned with client needs. Support the development of proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral. Provide strategic commercial insight to support growth beyond ACC-funded services. Work collaboratively with Regional Managers, Portfolio Leads, operational teams, and marketing stakeholders. Reporting & Governance Maintain accurate CRM records and account documentation. Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, commercial performance, market insights, and growth opportunities. Ensure smooth implementation and handover of new service agreements.Support contractual compliance, quality assurance, and risk management processes. What You’ll Bring Proven success in strategic account management, business development, or commercial growth roles. Tertiary qualification in Business, Health, Rehabilitation, Occupational Health, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Experience developing account plans, retention strategies, and client growth initiatives. Strong track record of building and managing sales pipelines. Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities and customer relationships. Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify sustainable growth opportunities. Excellent proposal, tender, and business writing skills. Understanding of occupational health, rehabilitation, injury prevention, or related healthcare services including ACC Exceptional relationship‑building, influencing, presentation, and communication skills.
