We require a Moulding Technician & Die Setter to join our team on the day shift or afternoon shift to ensure the reliable and effective running of our plant and equipment. This is a seldom advertised opportunity to join our progressive company. Afternoon shift hours are 3:15pm to 11:45pm. Day shift hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm The focus of this role is on: People – you'll need to be a team player Health & Safety – we are committed to a safe workplace for all employees Customers – helping us deliver the best product and service on time, every time Plastics manufacturing and die setting – you'll have the technical experience to work without supervision and problem solve on your feet. Ideally you will be trade qualified and have the following experience: 3 years experience setting plastic injection moulding machines for both existing and new products. Experience working with a wide range of plastic materials from commodity plastics such as PP and HDPE to engineering materials. New Product Introduction injection moulding trials from concept through to production release. Some robotics and automation. Experience in two polymer co-injection moulding and insert moulding would be an advantage Experience with Toyo, BOY, and Arburg Machines is a bonus Sound mechanical skills and understanding of basic injection mould tooling for troubleshooting and maintenance.
