Job Description
Health Administrator’s provide effective, efficient and accurate support to the Defence Health Centre at Papakura Military Camp. A typical day in our Health Centre will see you perform a range of duties including: Scheduling appointments. Answering patient queries by phone and email. Managing referrals to specialist health care providers. Liaising with ACC units. Processing accounts. Maintaining medical files. Maintaining communications. Providing ongoing coordination and communication between patients and clinical staff is an essential part of this role. Due to the nature of this role, there is no option to work remotely. This is a key role within our team where professionalism, an ability to work under pressure and a positive attitude are welcomed. We are looking for the following skills and experience: At least three years’ administrative experience, ideally within a health setting. Front line customer service experience and proven ability to provide exceptional support to all stakeholders. Confident, pro‑active communication and relationship management skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Experience using medical practice management systems (such as; PROFILE/MedTech32) is preferred but not essential. Higher Level Security Clearance You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa. At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years. You must have a ten (10) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
