About the Role Based in Tawa and reporting to the Team Leader - Overhead, these roles will see you supporting the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical networks across the Wellington region. We're looking for Line Mechanics and Live Line Mechanics to join our close-knit team delivering a variety of overhead construction, maintenance, and fault response work while contributing to safe, reliable, and high-quality outcomes for customers across the region. We're happy to support relocation to Wellington for the right candidates. You’ll be involved in: Overhead line construction, maintenance, and network upgrades Live line and overhead network maintenance work Fault response and emergency restoration work Working safely at heights and operating associated equipment Reading and interpreting utility plans and network requirements Supporting delivery across multiple sites and projects throughout the Wellington region About you You’ll thrive in these roles if you have: Experience in overhead line work across construction, maintenance, or fault response Current EWRB practising licence (or actively working towards it) Strong understanding of safety standards, electrical regulations, and safe work practices Experience with distribution networks, EWPs, live line, or HV work highly regarded Positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and motivated to learn, grow, and build a long-term career What's on Offer $39.19 to $45.40/hr + overtime + allowances Standard working hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, with most work based around Wellington and surrounding areas.
