The Role This newly created Commercial Manager role reports directly to the GM Finance and Commercial. It is a pivotal role supporting the growth and development of existing and new customer contracts for Linfox New Zealand. You will provide strategic financial insights, drive business improvement initiatives, and manage key projects within the Finance department. You will leverage your financial expertise, business acumen, and sales origination proficiency to contribute to the overall success of the organisation. Key Responsibilities Build and own cost models for pricing new business tenders Oversee key accounts and manage customer data, to bring real time market insights into pricing deal flow Analyse financial and operational data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop financial strategies aligned with company goals Prepare insightful reporting and presentations for senior management to communicate complex financial information Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support strategic decision-making and cost optimisation initiatives Define and maintain standardised financial processes, continuously assessing to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness Key Skills & Experience Required Strong commercial and financial background, confident navigating a P&L Proven experience in pricing and tenders Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability M&A / procurement / deal origination experience preferable CA qualified highly regarded but not essential Transport, logistics or freight industry exposure advantageous Self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a fast-paced environment Resilient under pressure and comfortable navigating change What’s In It For You This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a fast-paced environment in a role with genuine autonomy.
