Job Description
The Gym Floor Manager is responsible for leading the daily operation of our coaching floor while creating an exceptional training experience for every member. This role combines leadership, coaching, operations and performance management to ensure every session reflects our premium standards. You will develop coaches, inspire members, maintain world-class presentation, and drive a culture of accountability, progression and excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture Lead and inspire the coaching team through daily leadership and accountability. Set the benchmark for coaching excellence and professionalism. Conduct regular coach development sessions and performance reviews. Mentor coaches to continually improve technical coaching and member engagement. Foster a positive, high-performance culture built around teamwork, ownership and continuous improvement. Member Experience Deliver a premium experience for every member, every visit. Build genuine relationships with members and understand their individual goals. Ensure every member feels welcomed, supported and challenged appropriately. Proactively identify members needing additional support or coaching. Resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently. Coaching Excellence Coach group sessions to an exceptional standard. Deliver movement assessments and onboarding sessions. Ensure programming is delivered consistently and safely. Maintain high coaching standards across strength, conditioning and HYROX sessions. Provide technique correction and performance feedback. Performance & Programming Work alongside the Head Coach to ensure programming is delivered effectively. Monitor member progress and celebrate milestones. Support testing days, benchmark workouts and HYROX simulations. Encourage members towards measurable performance improvements. Facility Operations Ensure the facility is immaculate at all times. Oversee equipment maintenance and organisation. Maintain premium presentation standards across all training areas. Ensure health and safety procedures are consistently followed. Business Growth Drive member retention through exceptional coaching and engagement. Support member referrals and community events. Promote personal coaching and specialised performance programs. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and member experience. The Performance Floor Manager is expected to: Lead by example. Be highly visible on the gym floor. Coach with energy and professionalism. Hold themselves and others accountable. Create an environment where both members and coaches continually improve. Required Minimum 3 years coaching experience in a premium fitness environment. Previous leadership or management experience. Certificate IV in Fitness (or equivalent). Current First Aid & CPR. Strong organisational ability. Advanced coaching knowledge in strength and conditioning. Preferred Experience coaching HYROX athletes. CrossFit Level 1 or higher. Weightlifting certification. Running coach certification. Experience leading a team of coaches.
