Commercial and Financial Specialist

Commercial and Financial Specialist Fixed term contract This company is a major player in the energy industry and renewables sector. They are seeking an analyst or financial specialist to support investment decisions and the identification and delivery of commercial optimisation and improvement opportunities. What You'll do: From a technology angle you will be helping with budgeting, forecasting financial reporting and variance management in partnership with the technology leadership team. You will also provide financial analysis, insight and advice to support the team with decision making. You will be involved with commercial optimisation and value realisation work including maintaining commercial and financial oversight of technology assets and reoccurring commitments. This will also include the identifying, assessing and progress opportunities to improve commercial outcomes. You will be involved in commercial risk assurance and reporting including the identifying, assessing and escalating material financial control, commitment, funding and commercial risks across technology expenditure, supply agreements and investment activity. You will have the ability to change and adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to be always looking and challenging around continuous improvement. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification and 5 years plus of commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. You will have excellent skills in data and information analysis and will be experienced at developing and maintaining systems, models and dashboards and providing insights and interpretations based on the data.
