Job Description

We are working with a fast-growing New Zealand healthcare business that is scaling quickly across New Zealand and Australia. They have built a modern model of care that is genuinely working, patient numbers are climbing month on month, and they are now looking for a Clinical Director to own the performance and development of their national clinical team. This is a newly created senior role, and opportunities like this don't come often. This role will see you take ownership of the productivity, efficiency and performance of a team of clinicians delivering care to patients right across the country. You'll spend your first few weeks doing the clinical work yourself to properly understand it, then shift your focus to setting realistic performance benchmarks, getting into the detail with individual clinicians, and championing change as the business scales. The founders are hands-on, supportive and genuinely open to shaping the structure around the right person. What the role covers: Leading, coaching and developing a national team of clinicians Owning clinical productivity, quality and performance Setting benchmarks that are realistic, and building strategies to hit them Championing and communicating change in a business that moves daily Working directly with the founders on how the clinical service grows from here We are deliberately keeping the net wide on clinical background. This role would suit a nurse practitioner, a senior nurse with real clinical leadership behind them, a GP, or another registered doctor who enjoys pace and wants to build something rather than maintain it. Recent regulatory changes mean both nurse practitioners and GPs can deliver the full clinical scope here without additional training, so please don't rule yourself out based on title. What matters is current NZ registration, credibility with clinicians, and a genuine eye for detail, this is not a role for sweeping generalisations. It is essential that you are comfortable in a startup environment. Things change quickly, decisions get made fast, and the successful person will be someone who can roll their sleeves up, show initiative and drive results through others. In return you get a rare seat at the leadership table of a business at a truly exciting stage of its growth, founders who back their people, and a salary of $220k to $250k with flexibility for the right candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
