Job Description

New Zealand Defence Force – Auckland, North Island The Asset Management Officer is a subject matter expert on asset management working across several sites within the Auckland region from Whenuapai to Papakura. The main responsibilities of this role are: Providing AM expertise and input into new projects, refurbishments and maintenance across a broad range of asset types and classes; Maintaining and updating asset management databases; Sourcing, analysing and reviewing core data; Identifying risks and issues relating to Health & Safety, compliance or asset performance; Updating asset management plans, risk management plans and associated documents in a structured way; and Responding to asset information requests from project teams or Official Information Requests, including as built plans, building and infrastructure reports. This role is based in either Auckland Central, Papakura, Devonport or Whenuapai, with regular travel between the other Auckland NZDF locations. You will also need to be able to travel to Wellington and be away from your home base for a few days at a time. Please ensure you have no issues with the travel requirement for this role. The salary for this role ranges from $95,249 to $105,171, inclusive of a 4% superannuation contribution. Appointments within this range are based on skills and experience. Along with having at least 5-10 years’ experience working within a complex asset management and/ or facilities management environment with diverse stakeholder groups, you will also need the following: Asset Management experience ideally for buildings and/or Infrastructure; Strong knowledge of 'through life' asset management; Ability to interpret policy, legislation and develop into technical asset standards; Experience in developing asset management and risk management plans; Numerical and data analysis skills; Effective communication and Relationship/ Stakeholder Management skills; and Experience managing Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS) preferably SAP, ArcGIS, SharePoint and SPM; and A clean Class 1 Full Driver’s Licence.
