Programme Leader - School Holiday Programme

We are looking for an energetic,organisedand reliableSchool Holiday Programme Leaderto coordinate and lead ourLower HuttSchool Holiday Programme during theTerm 3 school holidays. Workroughly40hoursper week across the school holiday programme. Join a positive team environment where safety, fun and care come first. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support children to enjoy meaningful holiday experiences while guiding and coaching a team of programme staff. You willbe responsible forthe day-to-day operation of the programme, ensuring activities run smoothly and that children, whānau and staff have a positive experience. You will bring strong leadership, a calmapproachand excellentorganisationalskills to each day, helping create a safe,welcomingand inclusive environment where children feel encouraged,supportedand able toparticipatefully. Reporting to the Service Coordinator, you will oversee programme delivery, support staffdevelopmentand ensure all programme requirements are met. The school holiday programme runs for 2 weeks over the Term 3 school holiday period (28th September - 9th October). Key Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of School Holiday Programme Workers. Coordinate daily programme activities,outingsand transitions. Create a safe,inclusiveand respectful environment for all children. Facilitate and oversee games, arts and crafts, sports, themedactivitiesand group challenges. Communicate effectively with children, parents, caregivers,whānauand team members. Ensure health and safety, safeguarding and programme procedures are followed at all times. Monitor attendance records,bookingsand programme resources. Be willing to support people with their personalcares, which can include bathing,dressingand toileting. What We Are Looking For: You will be someone who enjoys working with children and leading others, bringing a positive,organisedand practical approach to a busy programme environment. You will beconfidentcoordinating activities, supporting staff and ensuring children have a safe and enjoyable experience. Experience leading teams in children'sprogrammes, disability support, recreation, education, youthworkor community services would be highlyadvantageous. Experience working with children is essential. Previousleadership or supervisory experience is preferred. Experience supporting people with disabilities and an understanding of positivebehavioursupport strategies would be an advantage. First Aid certification would be an advantage. A full New Zealand DriverLicenceisrequired. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand. The successful applicant maybe requiredto complete safety checks, including Policevettingand Oranga Tamariki checks, in line with child safety requirements.
