Health Care Assistant - Level 4

Forrest Hill Continuing Care Ltd – Forrest Hill, North Island Forrest Hill Home and Hospital is located in Forrest Hill, North Shore, Auckland. We are seeking an experienced full time Health Care Assistant (min 32 hours a week). A few qualifications, skills and personal qualities required: A recognized qualification in caring for the older person or a commitment to work towards a qualification. Excellent communication and listening skills. The ability to show empathy and tolerance in response to varying Resident’s needs. The ability to work independently, being well organized but flexible in carrying out work tasks. To ensure a safe environment for Residents at all times. To ensure that daily care requirements for Residents are met, always encouraging them to remain as independent as possible. To ensure that Residents dignity and privacy are respected at all times. To ensure that a clean and tidy environment is provided for Residents. To take part in education programmes and quality assurance training on a regular basis, attending 75% of the in-service education programmes. TO MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY at all times. No information regarding Residents to be given out without prior approval of the Manager / Registered Nurse. We have apositive and caring work environment.
