About the role Education is central to the Nurse/Midwife Educator role, however in order to influence and strengthen nursing/midwifery practice it is essential the role is underpinned by all the competencies as outlined in the position description below Support new and existing staff within the Community team with the provision of education, training and resources that ensure practice is current, evidence based and fit for purpose Collaborate alongside nurses, medical colleagues as well as other educators within the wider PDU team Provide practice and professional development opportunities that enhance service delivery, quality and safety alongside improved patient outcomes. Usecritical incidents as an opportunity for staff development. Actas a resource person and supportstaff to achieve Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) requirements. Mentornurses, midwivesand preceptors where appropriate.
