About the Role As a Consultant Adult Community Psychiatrist, you will: Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment,diagnosis, and treatment planning for adults with moderate to severemental health conditions. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinaryteam to support recovery-focused care. Provide clinical leadership and contribute toservice development initiatives. Support supervision and teaching of junior medicalstaff and contribute to continuing professional development within theteam. Maintaining high standards of clinical service,risk management, and quality improvement. About the Team/Service/ Location The Adult Community Mental Health Team provides specialistsecondary mental health care to adults aged 18'65 years across the Marlboroughregion. We are committed to delivering recovery-focused, person-centred carethat supports whaiora and their whānau within the community. Our service works collaboratively with primary care, NGOpartners, inpatient services, addiction services, forensic services, andcultural support providers to ensure integrated and equitable mental healthcare. OurMultidisciplinary Team includes Medical Officers, Clinical Psychologists,Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses and Social Workers, and employmentspecialists, committed to early intervention, holistic care, and continuous serviceimprovement to achieve the best possible outcomes for the community. Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and NewZealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent. Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificateand vocational registration of Psychiatry with the Medical Council of NewZealand. Have experience in consult-liaison psychiatry(preferred but not essential). Demonstrate commitment to continuing medicaleducation and professional development.
