Junior Quantity Surveyor -- Contracts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our contracts team in Christchurch. This is an immediate-start role, and we're keen to move quickly for the right person. We're open on experience level — whether you're a few years into your career, freshly qualified, or in your final year of study (in which case we're happy to work around your schedule on a 3-day-per-week basis). What matters most is that you're motivated, eager to learn, and ready to get stuck in. What You’ll Be Doing: Assisting with contract administration and documentation Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, valuations, and progress claims Supporting the team with procurement and tendering processes Reviewing and managing subcontractor packages Monitoring project costs and reporting on budget performance Collaborating closely with project managers, site teams, and clients What We’re Looking For: A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (completed or in progress) Strong attention to detail and numerical ability Good communication skills — written and verbal Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines Ability to work with different nationalities Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
