NZ Air Ambulance Service – New Plymouth, North Island An exceptional opportunity has become available to join the New Zealand Air Ambulance Service (NZAAS) in Taranaki. NZAAS are looking for an experienced nurse to become part of a team delivering aeromedical care across New Zealand on a full time or permanent part-time basis. Key Responsibilities: NZAAS Nurses are responsible for the nursing and clinical management of patients being transported by air or ground ambulance. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, planning patient care, clinical care of patients from acceptance of care at the referral point to relinquishment of care at receiving unit. Nurses are responsible for checking and maintaining medical equipment to ensure that all equipment devices are mission ready always. To be considered for this role it is essential that you meet the following criteria: A current practicing certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, with evidence of meeting continuing competence requirements Minimum 5 years' post grad nursing experience, at least 2 years of which are in a critical care environment e.g. intensive care, anaesthesia/recovery or emergency medicine. Current Core Advanced Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stake holders. Current NZ driver's license. Nurses are required to maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness.
