Their team embeds directly within contractor tender teams, client organisations, and major construction projects, providing specialist expertise across procurement, contract administration, project delivery, and construction management. The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager who can confidently operate across the full lifecycle of civil construction projects. This is a genuinely hybrid position that combines contractor-side project delivery with client-side contract administration responsibilities. You will work closely with contractors, consultants, local authorities, and infrastructure clients, providing leadership from tender stage through to project completion. A key requirement of this role is the ability to work on both sides of the contract, including acting as Engineer's Representative and providing construction monitoring services on NZTA and local government projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end tender and bid management activities Support Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) processes Provide construction methodology and staging expertise Develop programmes, methodologies, and tender attributes Undertake commercial and risk reviews Client-Side Services: Review RFT documentation and contracts to identify and manage risk Act as Engineer's Representative, Engineer to Contract, Contract Administrator, or Independent Certifier Provide construction monitoring services Manage contractor and stakeholder relationships Project Delivery: Support contractors with successful project execution Provide construction planning and sequencing advice Undertake constructability reviews Identify and mitigate commercial and delivery risks Facilitate contractor/client interface management Provide project delivery and construction management support What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this position, you'll bring significant experience across civil infrastructure projects and be comfortable working in both contractor and client-facing environments. Essential Experience Strong working knowledge of NZS3910 contracts Proven experience acting as Engineer’s Representative and/or Engineer to Contract Construction monitoring experience Tendering and procurement phase involvement Construction methodology development Constructibility review experience Programme development using MS Project or similar software Commercial and construction risk management Strong understanding of NZ health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements Advanced Microsoft Office skills Additional Requirements Full New Zealand Driver Licence Current right to work in New Zealand Ability to travel when project requirements dictate Comfortable working within a hybrid environment What’s On Offer: Exposure to high-profile civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand and the South Pacific Opportunity to work directly with major contractors, infrastructure owners, and government clients Genuine variety across tendering, contract administration, and project delivery A highly respected specialist consultancy environment Flexible hybrid working arrangements Competitive remuneration package reflective of experience Applicants must have current New Zealand working rights.
