About the role: As a Merchandise Planner you will work cross-functionally to ensure all stores have optimal stock levels and the appropriate product combination to achieve the sales, gross profit and stock targets in line with our strategy. Your key duties will include: Analysing and forecasting buying requirements up to 12 months in advance Providing the Buyer with financial planning and stock management advice Monitoring and analysing sales and profit objectives Financial and sales reporting Determining retail and promotional prices Developing merchandise plans and budgets To be considered for this position you will ideally have: 2-3 years of planning experience coupled with relevant qualification A flair for figures and a strong eye for detail Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence the broader team Strong problem solving and time management skills Previous experience with SAP and Arthur Planning desirable High level Microsoft Excel skills an advantage What's on offer: A fantastic opportunity to join a well-known New Zealand retail brand A generous staff discount package across the Farmers and James Pascoe Group Ongoing training and development to help you achieve your career objectives If you are a passionate person with a strong customer focus who realises the tremendous opportunity that this role offers, we want to hear from you! *Please note that we will be relocating to the new Support Office on Pitt Street by the end of 2027.
