As we continue to grow and strengthen our data andmodelling capability, we're looking for a Data & Modelling Migration Analystto help deliver trusted insights, robust models and quality data that supportcritical business decisions across Risk, Finance and Treasury. The role will help move us from siloed data sources to a trusted common data model that is accurate,well-governed, explainable, and fit-for-purpose. You will gather and interpretrequirements, test data and business logic, and work through ambiguity, legacylogic, undocumented processes, and incomplete information to shape a robustdata foundation that supports Kiwibank’s future modelling objectives. Day-to-day, you could expect to work on: Gathering, analysing, and defining data and modelling requirements Mapping current-state data sources, feeds, tables, extracts, code, repositories, and reporting processes Assessing existing data sources, processes, logic, and repositories to determine how they should inform the common data model Interrogating SAS, SQL, and other relevant code to understand current-state logic and identify gaps, assumptions, and dependencies Supporting testing and validation of data, logic, transformations, reconciliations, and model outputs to ensure quality, completeness, and traceability Maintaining comprehensive documentation, process maps, data lineage, dictionaries, decision records, and traceability Translating business, modelling, and regulatory needs into practical data requirements, design decisions, and delivery-ready outputs Pleasenote, this is a 12-month fixed term opportunity. We\'re looking forsomeone who is comfortable asking the right questions, challenging assumptions,and turning complex or messy information into clear, usable data requirementsand design decisions. You’ll bring experience working with banking products,balance sheet data, customer and account structures, and the way data flowsthrough core banking, finance, treasury, risk, regulatory, and reportingprocesses. You will also bring experience in: Data analysis, data modelling, data mapping, lineage, and governance practices Defining modelling inputs, assumptions, transformations, reconciliations, controls, and quality expectations Technical and coding capability, with SQL, SAS, Python, or similar data-processing tools Reading code, repositories, technical documentation, process artefacts, and business rules to understand current-state logic Assessing whether data sources, processes, logic, and controls are fit-for-purpose for future modelling and reporting needs Above all we are looking forsomeone who embodies Kiwibank’s purpose and values, (Ngā Kauwaka), and someonewho thrives in a vibrant and inclusive work environment.
