About the Role As a Social Worker , you will be based in Wairau, wherebio-psychosocial assessments are required and interventions offered to supportcomplex challenges. The role entails working with Tamariki and whanau from theChild Development Service. This is a permanent part time role, working 32 hours perfortnight (0.4 FTE), Monday to Friday. About the Team/Service/ Location Child Development Service is a multidisciplinary teamworking with Tamariki 0-15 years who have a disability. You will be supportingwhanau as they navigate through the health and disability sector. We are located at the Community Health Hub alongside othercommunity health services. For more information on living and working in Blenheim clickhere About you As a Social Worker, you will: work in acollaborative way, delivering client-centred practice from a strengthsperspective, ideally haveexperience working with Tamariki in a health and disability setting andworking as part of a multi-disciplinary team, bring an understanding of the socialdeterminants of health, and the impact on health and social needs across allage ranges, haveoutstanding interpersonal and communication skills and lots of energy, beinnovative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible and creative with a positiveapproach to all situations including problem solving, be registeredwith the NZ Social Workers Registration Board. Thesuccessful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZvisa at the time of applying.
