Mō Tĭnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role We are seeking a full-time, permanent Lecturer to join our School of Health and Sport Science based in Hawke's Bay. This exciting opportunity will see you contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and industry engagement across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while supporting student success and academic excellence. The appointing salary for this role will be between $89,000 and $95,000, dependent on skills and experience. The Lecturer is based in our School of Health and Sport Science reporting to the Head of School and will be responsible for: Delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Supervising Master's research projects and supporting postgraduate research capability. Contributing to curriculum design, programme development, and enhancement at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Undertaking and publishing research, with a particular focus on mixed methodologies and qualitative research approaches. Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry, iwi, community groups, and professional stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will have: A PhD in Sport Science, Health Sciences, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in mixed methodological research, including qualitative research approaches. Experience in postgraduate teaching and/or supervision. Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and planning skills. A commitment to culturally responsive teaching, equity, inclusion, and student success.
