We are seeking a Motor Rewinder / Armature Winder Apprentice to join our Napier workshop . This is an excellent opportunity to learn a specialised trade in an established location that has a highly skilled, qualified team of tradesmen committed to mentoring and training. Completion of an electrical pre-trade course would be highly advantageous. Job Purpose To develop expertise in motor rewinding and armature winding through a comprehensive apprenticeship programme, contributing to the efficient maintenance and repair of electrical motors. Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist experienced motor rewinders and armature winders with the disassembly, inspection, and repair of electric motors. Learn correct techniques and best practices for motor rewinding and armature winding. Participate in motor testing and quality assurance processes. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment. Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures. Experience & Education No prior experience required — full training provided. Strong mechanical aptitude with a genuine interest in electrical or engineering work. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to completing an apprenticeship and gaining relevant qualifications. Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and take pride in workmanship.
