Working alongside experienced Psychiatrists, nursing, psychology, social work, and allied health colleagues, you'll manage a varied caseload while benefiting from regular teaching, peer support, and opportunities for continued professional development. The service has a strong focus on equitable healthcare and works closely with local iwi and community partners to improve outcomes for Māori. Lakes District Health Board (DHB) provides specialist services to approximately 110,000 people across Rotorua and Taupō. The Hospital offers comprehensive psychiatric services within a medium-sized district general hospital setting, with strong support from consultants and senior medical staff.
