Engineer

Yarrows the Bakers is seeking an experienced and reliable Engineer to join our team in Manaia, Taranaki . This is a full-time position (Monday - Friday 2 am - 11 am) that plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the systems throughout our bakery operations. As an essential member of our facilities team, you will ensure that all machinery infrastructure operates safely and efficiently, supporting the smooth running of our production and retail environments. Your expertise will be vital in keeping our business operational and compliant with all relevant safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, service, and repair commercial bakery equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults. Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns. Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with health and safety standards. Keep accurate service and maintenance records. Work closely with bakery staff to ensure equipment operates efficiently. About You Experience as a maintenance engineer, service technician, or bakery equipment engineer. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Knowledge of commercial bakery machinery is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and manage priorities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A current driver's licence.
