Job Description
ENGEO’s crew in Queenstown is looking for an engineering geologist or geotechnical engineer to join our team. We’ve got a strong pipeline of work with a good mix of projects across construction – buildings and infrastructure – as well as geohazard assessment and mitigation. You’ll join a supportive team of and get plenty of hands-on experience, exposure to interesting ground conditions, and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you grow. The Job This role offers a great mix of site investigations and construction monitoring with plenty of analysis and design across a wide array of complex projects. Fieldwork & site investigations Planning and undertaking site investigations, including logging, instrumentation, in situ testing and geomorphic mapping Soil and rock characterisation, geohazard identification, and constraint assessments Supporting construction monitoring to ensure quality of on-site delivery Design & project delivery Carrying out geotechnical analysis to support practical, robust recommendations Assisting with geotechnical design work, including slope stability, geohazard mitigations, foundations, and retaining structures Supporting project delivery with coordination, reporting, and data management Working closely with colleagues, clients, and contractors to deliver successful outcomes As you grow in the role, you’ll take on increasing ownership of your projects and develop your ability to manage aspects of delivery from both a technical and commercial perspective.
