Outdoor Equipment & Powersports Technician Wanaka Powersports – Queenstown, South Island We are seeking master technicians; those who are driven to deliver the best, motivated by diversity in their work and those who help others to be their best too. You will bring your vast industry knowledge and attention to detail to accurately diagnose faults and deliver quality repairs to help us achieve our vision. A typical day for the technician involves: Reviewing the repair order & description of work to conduct tests to replicate the issue. Working thoroughly to diagnose vehicle faults and eliminate the cause. Perform servicing and repairs of the vehicle efficiently. Assisting the service team with estimations for repair. Requesting parts required for repair orders to the parts department. Assisting the service team with the evaluation and documentation requirements for OEM warranty claims. Providing advice and timely follow-up of customer queries to the service team. You must be confident and capable in engineering practices with past proven experience working with small engines. You will have experience working on outdoor equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers, lawnmowers, generators and have experience with or an interest in learning about motorcycles and/or power watercraft or vice versa. Ideally, you will hold a relevant National Qualification in Outdoor Power Equipment or Motorcycle Engineering and a class 6 endorsement is advantageous. This is a permanent, full-time position. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 - 5:00 with some rostered Saturday work (9:00am – 12:00pm) during peak season.
