We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Dietitian to join our supportive Allied Health team on a fixed-term parental leave contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of specialties while helping people achieve the best possible health outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. About the Role As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to patients across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Using the Nutrition Care Process, you'll undertake comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop individualised nutrition interventions, and monitor outcomes to support optimal health and wellbeing. You’ll work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and alongside patients, whānau and communities, delivering nutrition care across a broad range of clinical specialties including: Diabetes and Endocrinology Renal Cardiology Oncology Surgical Services Rehabilitation Respiratory Paediatrics This role offers variety and flexibility, with opportunities to work across Palmerston North Hospital and other MidCentral sites as service needs require. About you We're looking for someone who is compassionate, adaptable and committed to delivering person-centred care. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and have a genuine passion for improving health outcomes through nutrition. To be successful, you'll have: A recognised postgraduate qualification in Dietetics. Registration with the New Zealand Dietitians Registration Board. A current Annual Practising Certificate with Dietitian Prescriber endorsement. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational skills and sound clinical judgement. A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. A current full New Zealand driver's licence. Experience with Microsoft Office and membership of Dietitians New Zealand and relevant Special Interest Groups would be advantageous.
