Job Description
Alignz Recruitment – Christchurch, South Island Production Coordinator - Role overview You will be responsible for managing production schedules and ensuring that all necessary documentation is ready and accurate at every stage of the manufacturing and delivery process. Key responsibilities Production scheduling & data management: Directly manage the production schedule to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the plant. Analyse daily production thresholds and plant capacity within the Pryda system. Monitor and update the schedule in real-time to reflect progress and priority changes. Identify potential over-capacity issues and proactively communicate with relevant teams to adjust plans. Documentation & workflow coordination: Coordinate the full documentation cycle for both factory production and client deliveries. Ensure all document packs are prepared where required and organised as soon as job details are available. Maintain a rigorous filing system so that documentation is always available at the right location for the right team. Logistics & communication: Liaise with transport companies via email to confirm and manage the delivery schedule. Act as a bridge between the detailing team, production staff, and the frame & truss manager to ensure a cohesive operation. Success measures: what "good" looks like A successful candidate will demonstrate their impact through: Schedule reliability: The production schedule is always up to date in Pryda, providing an accurate reflection of the plant's current capacity and upcoming workload. Documentation flow: Factory and delivery teams never experience "downtime" due to missing or incorrect paperwork; packs are consistently ready in advance of need. Quality control: Internal checklists are consistently utilised to ensure job details are correct and folders are filed accurately before handover to the yard. Proactive communication: Transport partners are kept informed of the schedule with enough notice to ensure 100% collection reliability. Key skills & attributes Strong communication skills: Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people, from office management to factory teams and external drivers. Adaptability: High capacity to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment. Organisational mastery: A natural ability to manage multiple files and schedules simultaneously without losing track of details. Software savvy: Comfortable using Pryda and Excel; able to learn new systems quickly. Hands-on attitude: Willingness to be present where the action is, ensuring that the physical workflow matches the digital schedule. Experience working in construction and/or frame and truss production is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
