Electrical Engineer - Power & Energy - Hamilton

Join our Power & Energy team as an Electrical Engineer, contributing to multidisciplinary projects across New Zealand through the delivery of electrical design engineering and technical advice. In this role, you will help meet the needs of clients, support the growth of client relationships and contribute to the success of the Power & Energy sector through excellent service delivery. You will bring technical capability across electrical design, support project planning and delivery, and continue to develop your skills in power generation, renewable technologies, transmission and distribution.

About you:

  • Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Preferably minimum of three years' professional experience in a related discipline.
  • Current, clean driver licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design across a broad spectrum of the discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of New Zealand electrical codes and standards.
  • Experience using electrical design modelling software.
  • Strong report writing, communication and attention to detail.
  • Client centric, collaborative and able to work effectively with people at all levels, both within and external to the organisation.
  • Strong organisational ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver to deadlines.
  • Active commitment to continuous personal improvement, professional development and WSP's Guiding Principles.
