About the Role This Store Person is responsible for the efficient coordination, handling, and distribution of stock across Health New Zealand services within the local area, while providing procurement and supply chain administrative support to the wider team. Key Responsibilities Pick, pack, dispatch, and put away goods within warehouse, theatre, inwards goods, and hospital environments. Maintain accurate inventory records and process transactions using warehouse and inventory systems. Liaise with suppliers and freight providers to resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, and freight claims. Provide procurement and supply chain administrative support to ensure efficient service delivery. About the Team/Service/ Location The PSC&HTM (Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management) team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are a national function with a vast and complex scope. They play a critical role in ensuring the availability, safety, and efficiency of clinical and non-clinical goods and services across the health system. About you You're a hands-on and customer-focused team member who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in ensuring stock is accurately managed and available when needed, and you're comfortable balancing physical warehouse duties with inventory and administrative responsibilities. You work well both independently and as part people andcommunicate effectively with a wide range of people, and are committed to delivering reliable supply chain services. You will bring: NCEA Level 1 and at least one year experience in warehousing, stores, logistics, or supply chain operations (or a demonstrated commitment to developing a supply chain career). Experience using inventory, warehousing, or other computerised systems, with strong computer and data entry skills. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage priorities while building positive working relationships. Physical capability to safely handle stock, equipment, pallets, and trolleys, with a flexible and proactive approach to work. Desired: Previous experience using inventory or warehouse management systems. National Certificate in Distribution, Supply Chain, or a related field. Experience within a healthcare, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment.
