About the Role The District Nursing service provides comprehensive nursing care to the greater Dunedin area including Palmerston and Middlemarch. Specialist wound care (including ACC) Intravenous medications administration Palliative care Catheter management and much more The service is closely linked to Dunedin hospital to help ensure patients are supported safely in the community after hospital discharge while also maintaining close liaison with local GP practices, Hospice and residential facilities. This is an opportunity for you: Adapt and increase your clinical skills to become a ‘specialist generalist'. Be out and about working in different places, and each hour is varied from the next. Responsible for planning and implementing care to a diverse range of patients in the community. Supervise enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants. About you Registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse Have a current practicing certificate. Have broad experience from a surgical and medical or community setting, Love to work autonomously within the community.
