The head teacher is responsible for providing professional leadership and management to the teaching team, ensuring the delivery of quality education through effective curriculum implementation in line with the Licensing Criteria and Association policies, procedures, and guidelines. Key requirements include: Being a registered, qualified teacher Upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in daily practice. Developing and maintaining strong reciprocal relationships with parents and whanau. Leading inquiry, professional learning, and collaboration to build team capability. Establishing strong professional relationships that prioritise learner wellbeing. Creating a learning-focused culture of respect, inclusion, collaboration, and safety. Experience in guiding and educating tamariki with diverse learning and behaviour needs, together with a commitment to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments.
