Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Qualified Builder role based in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. The Qualified Builder will carry out day‑to‑day construction activities on residential renovation projects, including framing, carpentry, installation of fixtures and fittings, and finishing work. The role involves reading and interpreting plans, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and ensuring work meets safety standards and building codes. The Qualified Builder will inspect completed work, identify and resolve issues on‑site, and contribute to maintaining project schedules and quality standards. Regular communication with the site team and adherence to company policies and health and safety procedures are essential. Qualifications Relevant trade qualification or certification in building or carpentry, and proven experience in residential renovations. Strong skills in general construction work, including framing, carpentry, installation, and finishing. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and building codes. Sound knowledge of health and safety practices and safe use of tools, equipment, and materials. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, supervisors, and subcontractors. Good problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to high‑quality workmanship. Reliability, honesty, and a professional attitude toward deadlines and client expectations. Physical capability to perform manual labor, work on‑site full time, and adapt to varying project conditions.
