About the role We have a rare leadership opportunity within the Perioperative team for an experienced and ambitious Anaesthetic Technician to join our team in a Charge Technician role on a permanent fulltime basis. Our team of Anaesthetic Technicians are dedicated to their profession, working hard to ensure the best possible care and support is provided for the patient, their families and the team they are working alongside. As a Charge Anaesthetic Technician you will be responsible for Providing operational leadership as well as strategic planning and implementation of current and future service delivery provided by our team of Anaesthetic Technicians. Be the voice for Anaesthetic Technicians within the Perioperative Leadership group and in wider forums, Advocating for your team and for the safety and quality of the delivery of anaesthesia services and the Perioperative patient experience. Our Perioperative service operates on a 24/7 basis with on‑call rostering, you will certainly be kept on your toes! About you Registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand Hold a current annual practising certificate under a scope of practice as Anaesthetic Technician. You must be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical expertise and enthusiasm to lead, develop, motivate and mentor a team of professional staff. Our expectation is for the successful applicant to have a minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience as a senior Anaesthetic Technician or recent experience in a similar leadership position.
