This role supports learners enrolled in Ara's Foundation programmes, including Adult Literacy, Next Step Centre for Women, Workskills Supported Learning, and Level 1–2 certificate programmes. The Learning Facilitator works alongside tutors to help students succeed in their educational journey, particularly those who require additional learning support, including learners with intellectual or learning disabilities. In this role you will: Support tutors in classroom, community, and work-experience learning environments. Assist individual and small groups of students with their learning. Help monitor student progress and maintain learning records. Identify and respond to individual learning needs. Provide guidance and referrals for students requiring additional support. Assist students with study pathways and career planning. Contribute to programme administration, planning, and team activities. Foster an inclusive, supportive, and culturally responsive learning environment. To support our ākonga, you will have: Experience supporting learners, including those with additional learning needs. Understanding of intellectual and learning disabilities and inclusive support practices. Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with diverse learners. Confident using initiative and working collaboratively with tutors and students. Passion for helping learners achieve their goals and grow in confidence.
