You'll work largely autonomously day‑to‑day and partner with a senior developer and external support to progressively take on more complex builds. ServiceNow experience is helpful, but strong development capability is essential. Role responsibilities / duties Build workflow logic, data structures and automation using JavaScript/JSON Develop and support integrations using REST APIs (and SOAP where needed) Configure platform behaviour (rules, policies, access controls, catalogue items) Troubleshoot defects, debug scripts, and improve reliability/performance Follow change controls: test, promote, and document releases across environments Work with stakeholders to turn requirements into technical solutions Skills and Experience Strong software development skills with JavaScript (backend logic focus) Practical experience designing/consuming REST APIs with JSON payloads Solid grasp of web fundamentals (client/server); working knowledge of HTML/CSS Proven ability to deliver independently with minimal day‑to‑day supervision Confident communicator able to work with distributed / global teams Bonus: exposure to ServiceNow or similar platforms (Jira/Salesforce/workflow tools) Mandatory mandatory Applicants must have a valid work visa, permanent residency or NZ citizenship to be considered.
