Wellington, you'll provide friendly, knowledgeable service that helps customers find the right products and solutions for their projects. You'll contribute to the success of the department by delivering an outstanding customer experience, maintaining excellent merchandising standards, and ensuring stock is available and well presented at all times. Key Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, identify their needs, and provide helpful product advice and solutions. Assist customers in locating products and refer more technical enquiries to the appropriate team member when required. Maintain high merchandising standards, including ticketing, shelf presentation, facing, and promotional displays. Replenish stock throughout the day and ensure shelves remain full, tidy, and easy to shop. Use in-store devices and systems to check product availability, locations, and suitable alternatives. Assist with price changes, markdowns, and stock maintenance tasks. Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the Hardware Department is clean, safe, and well organised. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and understand customer needs. Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards. A positive, reliable, and proactive approach to your work. The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Confidence working in a fast-paced retail environment. A willingness to learn new products, systems, and skills to build strong hardware knowledge. Physical capability to safely lift and move stock when required. Flexibility to work across departments when needed Skills & Knowledge Basic computer skills, including using handheld devices for stock lookups, sales processing, and online learning. Understanding of merchandising principles, including ticketing, planograms, and display standards. A willingness to develop product knowledge across the Hardware range. An awareness of the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act, and store refund and exchange procedures. Previous retail experience Availability Applicants must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday at Mitre 10 Mega Mt. Wellington, as part of their regular roster #J-18808-Ljbffr
